Turn your emails into trackable work in PlanStreet and smoothly manage from beginning till the end. PlanStreet for Outlook makes use of every tool so that you can communicate in Outlook, and work is executed in PlanStreet. Teams are aware of their duties, and when they need to be done, thus work gets done on time. This add-in converts emails into actionable work by transforming emails in Outlook to new comments or tasks under the existing tasks in PlanStreet without the hassle of switching between tools.
Generate new tasks, checklist, and comments from your email. Link your email to PlanStreet, and your projects would be done on time.
Getting Started
This new add-in is available to everyone that uses PlanStreet and Outlook. To install the PlanStreet add-in:

Go to the Microsoft Marketplace and click Get It Now.

Follow the instructions to add the PlanStreet add-in to your Outlook inbox.

Make your emails into trackable, actionable tasks
Action items generally come on email. With PlanStreet, you can now create tasks of action items right from Outlook. The new tasks can be assigned to yourself or a colleague with a due date linked to it and later added to your project to be connected to relevant work.
To turn an email into a task:
- Click the PlanStreet icon at the top of the email and click Create PlanStreet Task
- Once you’ve filled in the task details, click Create a task
You can search projects and tasks on PlanStreet with outlook integration.
Add emails to existing tasks to capture the context
Your entire team probably isn’t copied on every email chain that includes information they need to do their jobs. But without these details and context, they can’t effectively do their work. Whether it’s a proposal from an agency, an email from a candidate with their contact information, or another team at your company requesting design resources, you want your entire team to have the right information to do their job. Instead of switching between tools to copy and paste this information, simply add the email to an existing PlanStreet task as a comment right from Outlook.
To add emails to an existing task:
- Click the PlanStreet icon at the top of the email and click Open PlanStreet Add-in
- Search for the task you’d like to add the email to, and then click Add email
Settings
From the PlanStreet for Outlook add-in settings, you can switch between Workspaces & Organizations or simply log out.
To access PlanStreet for Outlook’s settings:
- Click the PlanStreet icon at the top of the email and click Open PlanStreet Add-in
- Click the gear icon that appears at the top of the PlanStreet for Outlook panel
From here, you can switch between your PlanStreet domains or simply log out.
