Task Toolbar Overview
The ‘Tasks’ view of a project contains an extensive Tool Bar. Depending on how your screen display is sized, you see all of the Tools on one or multiple lines but they are shown in the same sequence as the below picture.
Add Phases, Tasks, and Milestones to the project.
Access Project Templates to create new Templates and modify them.
Import new tasks into the Project from any other file.
Export the Project details as XML, Excel, iCal, PDF, or PNG files.
Select to view only tasks that have a specific priority.
Click on Settings to adjust what information is displayed on the Task List screen.
While you are making changes to your project, those changes are not visible to others until you make them public by Publishing the project plan.
Shows all Phases, Tasks, and Milestones and all their sub-tasks on the project.
Collapses all the Tasks and Milestones from view and only showing information at the Project Phase level.
Display the Critical Path view of the Project based on what is shown on the Task List view.
Display a Baseline view of the Project based on what is shown on the Task List view.
Indent/Outdent: Move selected tasks a level down or up in the task hierarchy.
Expand display to a full-screen view.
This option allow you to look at you List View in 4 different ways.
- Standard View: Standard view is the recommended view of the List view.
- Forecast View: This view will focus on the forecasted data in the list view.
- Actual View: This view will focus on the actual data in the list view.
- Financial View: This view will focus on the financial data in the list view.
this option will help you look at the data in a certain time Period. For Example: If you want to look at the tasks from March 10th to April 21st, Simple select the date range and it will show you only those tasks which lies between this range.
